Join UProjects for a walk that traverses the ridge of Blackstone Edge that marks the ancient border of Lancashire & Yorkshire.

Meeting  at the car park at the Ranger Station and toilets at Ogden Reservoir from 09:45 for a 10:00 start we will travel an interesting 13 mile route that visits Rooden and Readycon Dean Reservoirs, White Hill, Windy Hill and crosses the  M62  towards Blackstone Edge at the highest point of any motorway in the UK via the Pennine Way footbridge. We will be  returning to the start point passing the Aiggin Stone, Broad Head Drain and Hoar Edge

This walk is included in the  2018 UCrew Outdoor Health Project, providing progression walks and advice in a build up to achieving The Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge Walk in July.  Delivered by UProjects qualified leaders and supported by Oldham Council`s Environmental Services.

A strenous walk, walkers are responsible for their level of fitness and health condition

Wear suitable clothing for the weather and appropriate footwear. Additional layers, hat, gloves, water and a snack are best carried in a small rucksack.
